Oxford, a place that inspired J.K Rowling and Lewis Carroll.
Oxford a place that inspired J.K Rowling and Lewis Carroll.Last week I spent the day in Oxford with 2 friends and my daughter.
Our enthusiasm for this place, to guess what had so much inspired J.K Rowling and Lewis Carroll to create Harry Potter and Alice in Wonderland. How a simple door in a garden, a staircase, a dining room, a home could be at the origin of their inspirations.
Here are the famous places explored during our adventure. If you’re a fan of these two successful stories, maybe you’ll recognize them!
- The little door of Alice’s garden.
- The ladies with long necks.
- Charles Lutwidge Dodgeson (aka Lewis Carroll)
- And for Harry Potter’s fans!
However, how can we also become receptive and create?
The Inspiration is to leave aside our mind, our thoughts like meditation, and let the place speak to you until you have feelings, you feel detached from yourself, and listen what the object, person or your surrounding tell you.
Inspiration is often described as a stimulus, a flash, an enthusiasm for something.
Creating dreams is possible if we leave our surroundings and opportunities inspire us, guide us in our choices.
Be attentive to your emotions when a few things happen, if you feel good, motivated and excited then continue and take action.
It does not matter which actions small or big you take, a baby step is better and keeps the momentum.
And to finish, I leave you some pictures of the splendid landscapes of this inspiring city!
